Kinda looks like our laundry list of audio enhancements we had going on the "Wish List"

Very Very Good....how long does the intro price last...I've got to wait till after xmas. Also I have a ton of questions the first two being....

1. When you generate, does it apply to an entire audio sequence in a clip or can I put in "marked" spots for it work on less say a delay on the last word of a sentence

2. Is the primary function of the noise gate to reduce hiss.

3. How many affects can be applied at once.

4. The Vu meter I assume is applied during the playback after recording.

I saw a pan it this.....will that allow me to pan left and right within the mix so as to say emphasize the wireless lapel mike on the left channel while lowering the ambient on the right channel. Again am I able to mark spots for this to happen to effect say 30 seconds of a 3 minute audio clip.

May I congratulate whoever on responding to audio wish list with basic audio control stuff. If it really really works, It will eliminate my need to use a mixer between source deck and screenplay thus saving me space. My only very small caveat(spelling) is that 120 as an intro price is steep compared to what I can buy software wise at best buy with serious audio features.

0. I have no idea about the pricing peroid. I didn't even know the product was announced until read about it here.

1. The Generate operation applies to the clip you are working on (either storyboard in the clips bin.) If you want to add delay on the last part of a clip -- split it at the point you want to effect.

2. Primarily. Although I made some cooly weird sound music tracks with a high thresold level on the noise gate.

3. All can be applied at once. However, the playback preview will glitch a bit when it is overloaded like that. The generated output will sound correct.

4. I have always said digital VU meters are pretty pointless, however, in this case you can see if you are using the 16bit efficiently (or cliping.) This is handy as EQ and Echo/Reverb can add gain, so the post volume control allows you to tweek your levels visually.

5. The pan works as you say in the Stereo mode. All other mix downs occur before the filters or pan position.

6. PC product pricing isn't related to SP -- number of users don't equate. At $120 it is easily as useful as any of the other SP add-ons.

Thanks T.P.

On it after xmas....And I didn't mean to slight you when I said "software with serious features" as a comparison if thats how that statement came across This is a great add on that gives flexibility and features not available on most other edit systems besides Sonics/sony's vegas video/acid audio combo.

Now a couple of more questions

When the audio generates, does it split away from the video ala extract audio?

Any limitations when doing A/B roll?

Does pitch control/correct refer to keeping the pitch/key the same whether in slow mo or fast?

Thanks again for the product and have a good holiday....Is there a baby TP in the future Just being nosey.

The generated audio goes into the clips bin, so you then can place that like it was extracted audio.

>>Any limitations when doing A/B roll?

I don't see any issues.

>>Does pitch control/correct refer to keeping the pitch/key the same whether in slow mo or fast?

Yes, it tries its best (the technique is not perfect) to match to original pitch at the new speed.

It is pretty fast -- faster than playback speed -- it can up to 2-3X faster depending on the filters applied.

Hi Guys

I tried to order Magic Audio today but was told that it was'nt quite ready to ship yet. Does anybody have an idea of when it might be?
Also, I find it annoying that they would advertize it but not have it ready for shipping.

If it's like all other COOL stuff that T.P. does, it should go in the front door without any flaming hoops to go through. That's what makes this such a nice editing appliance!!!!
